Residents won’t get to see John and Elizabeth Edwards speak in Salem this month, but ticket-holders have some good alternatives: A guaranteed seat at the lecture by columnist George F. Will, which is being held in place of the Edwards event, or a full refund.

City denies spot zoning claim, addresses St. Joseph's lawsuit
Salem -Assistant City Solicitor Jerald Parisella recently addressed a lawsuit filed against the city in Superior Court in August by 18 residents concerned about zoning changes on Lafayette Street at the St. Joseph Church property.
